Project: Consciousness-Based Education Implementation
Background
Teacher of
Transcendental Meditation
After completing my BA in Civil Engineering, I sought a deeper understanding beyond conventional education—exploring the ultimate purpose and meaning of life. Fortunately, an opportunity emerged: the first international Transcendental Meditation (TM) teacher training course in Thailand. Eager to delve into this profound field, I enrolled in the intensive six-month program and became a certified TM teacher. Upon graduation of this course, I was assigned to a project in India— a thrilling opportunity as it was my first time visiting the country.
Our Goal
World Peach within our reach
Numerous scientific studies have demonstrated that practicing TM in groups can significantly influence society positively, reducing crime and violence. Envisioning world peace, this project aims to introduce TM knowledge and establish lasting peace through TM and TM-Sidhi practitioner groups within academic institutes across India.
Strategy
Introducing Consciousness-based Education
Consciousness-based education aims to nurture students holistically, moving beyond book knowledge to enhance mental abilities for improved learning. Practicing TM before class can enhance students' learning capabilities and foster greater harmony within the school and its surrounding community. Our strategy involves engaging school or college principals in discussions about TM. Upon their interest, we conduct introductory lectures for students, teaching them the practice of TM. We request a 20-minute timeslots for students to practice TM before and after school hours.

Transformative Impact: Nurturing Minds and Shaping Futures
The project yielded remarkable results, with schools where we implemented TM experiencing positive outcomes. Teachers observed improved student performance, better grades, and increased happiness. Being part of this transformative initiative, I felt fortunate to contribute to a significant change in the lives of young individuals, impacting the future generation. Throughout the projects, we successfully introduced TM to more than 8,000 students. The success continues, and I am proud to have been part of such a meaningful endeavor.
